Taking a break to do one of these activities can help shift your brain out of its current mode of thinking so that you feel reinvigorated. The idea is to engage a different sense, skill, or physical movement for 15 minutes to reset your brain.
Brain resetting activities
- Listen to a podcast, audiobook, or new music
- Write down 5 things you are grateful for
- Write down you current roadblocks
- Do a puzzle
- Play a short video game
- Doodle or draw
- Meditate
- Get moving by taking a walk or doing bodyweight exercises like squats or jumping jacks
Once you're done you are ready to set up your workspace again (seeMise en Place) and start a Pomodoro timer for 25 minutes.
