I’m quitting… the game.
My game is over. 🙈
Yeah, you heard that right — my game is over.
After participating in over 60 hackathons and building more than 60 open-source projects, I’ve finally decided to give up.
My motivation has been drastically declining. Working on different things daily with little progress has taken its toll.
In the past four years, I’ve changed my position over 30 times. I’ve been constantly losing my vision by juggling a bunch of projects at once.
My startups keep failing, one after another.
Even though I had a paper published by Springer and indexed in Scopus, it didn’t help.
I couldn’t even give a proper speech at the DKU 2024 Conference.
Sometimes I think it would be much easier to land a job and work for a company.
But you know what? The process of carving my own path seemed more interesting to me than following the default path like everyone else.
That’s not who I wanted to be.
I didn’t even know if I was doing the right thing.
However, I knew I wasn’t standing still. It didn’t really matter. Creativity requires faith, and faith requires that we relinquish control.
I still don’t have answers to these questions:
- What am I living for?
- What do I really want?
- How do I want to look back on my life when it’s my time to go?
I don’t want to keep this video long. My message to you is: make something people want. Focus on something really specific. Practice makes progress.
But keep in mind, life is worth experimenting with different things. So why not at least try? Okay, maybe you think you don’t have time. But you might regret it later on.
