Push Protocol Launches its L1 Chain

Push Protocol, known for its blockchain-based notification services, is launching Push Chain, a Layer 1 blockchain designed to simplify Web3 and improve cross-chain accessibility.

Push Chain aims to address the challenges of fragmented user experiences and scalability. As a proof-of-stake chain, it will serve as a settlement layer across Layer 1s and Layer 2s.

Key features include wallet and gas fee abstraction, sharding, and sub-one-second transaction finality. The chain will also introduce "universal smart contracts," enabling seamless cross-chain wallet state access.

The phased rollout begins with an initial testnet in mid-January 2025, followed by a mainnet launch later that year. Push Chain builds on Push Protocol's evolution from a communication protocol to a broader platform aimed at unifying Web3.

Push Protocol, formerly Ethereum Push Notification Service (EPNS), raised $10.1M in a Series A round in 2022, led by Jump Crypto. Earlier seed funding of $1.41M included backing from prominent figures like former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan and Gitcoin co-founder Scott Moore.

Chain Abstraction Intents Explained by Etherspot

Etherspot has released an educational article explaining intents and their transformative role in blockchain interactions. Positioned at the forefront of Chain Abstraction, intents focus on user-centric outcomes, simplifying how people interact with Web3.

The article defines intents as user-stated goals, such as staking tokens or swapping assets. Instead of managing technical complexities - like bridging tokens or handling gas fees - users declare their desired outcome, while solvers handle the backend processes efficiently.

Key benefits of intents include:
*Simplified User Experience: Users focus on the what, not the how.
*Cross-Chain Fluidity: Seamless operations across multiple blockchains.
*Scalability: dApps can access broader ecosystems and improve usability.

Highlighting their recent demo of Etherspot Pulse, the article showcases how developers can integrate Chain Abstraction features, enabling single-intent cross-chain token swaps.

As blockchain evolves, Etherspot positions intents as the bridge between innovation and usability, driving mass adoption for a decentralized future.

Treasure Launches Gaming-Focused L2 Chain on ZKsync

Treasure, the crypto gaming ecosystem, has unveiled its own Ethereum Layer-2 chain on ZKsync, marking a pivotal shift away from Arbitrum to prioritize gaming-specific needs. This new network is part of ZKsync's Elastic Chain and will feature native support for Treasure's MAGIC token.

The move allows Treasure to offer gasless transactions, social account creation, and specialized infrastructure for game economies. Players can also log in via email or social accounts, leveraging ZKsync's account abstraction. Over 15 games, hundreds of thousands of NFTs, and tokens will migrate to the new chain via the Hyperlane bridge.

Treasure co-founder Karel Vuong highlighted that the decision stemmed from the need for gaming-first features not prioritized by general Layer-2s. The network's launch will enhance tools like the Treasure Development Kit for blockchain integration, enabling seamless use of AI agents and reducing reliance on smart contract coding.

Already live on mainnet, the chain is ahead of schedule, with several games launching by year's end. Upcoming titles include Wanderers, Bitmates, and Zeeverse. Treasure is also in talks to onboard additional games, including Calamity, migrating from Base.

In Q1 2025, staking MAGIC tokens using EigenLayer and additional use cases are set to expand the ecosystem.

Ambire Legends Launch: Gamified Smart Accounts

Ambire has unveiled Ambire Legends, an innovative onchain quest game designed to showcase the capabilities of Smart Accounts. Players engage in quests and perform onchain actions to earn XP, climb leaderboards, and secure a share of the 195 million $WALLET token reward pool.

Using the Ambire Wallet extension, players mint a soulbound NFT character to represent them in the game. Completing tasks across Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Scroll networks earns XP, helping characters level up and unlocking higher reward potential.
The game demonstrates key Smart Account features, including gas abstraction (no native tokens needed for fees), transaction batching, and onchain transaction simulations.

The onboarding process begins with downloading the Ambire Wallet extension and unlocking it with invite codes available via Ambire's community channels on Discord and Telegram. Players then create or connect a Smart Account to start their journey.

The experience is designed to be engaging, educational, and rewarding, bridging gaming and smart account technology.

Agoric Orchestration API for True Chain Abstraction

Dean Tribble, CEO of Agoric, introduced the Agoric Orchestration API during the Aggregation Summit 2024, unveiling a transformative tool aimed at enabling seamless multi-chain interactions and advancing chain abstraction.

Positioned as a response to the fragmentation challenges across blockchain ecosystems, the API promises to simplify previously complex cross-chain operations, heralding a new era of decentralized application functionality.

In his presentation, Tribble detailed how Agoric's orchestration achieves multi-block actions across chains, unlike traditional solutions that only handle single-block operations. He emphasized its capacity to enable complex use cases, such as cross-chain asset swaps, automated liquidity management, and multi-chain gaming systems. By leveraging JavaScript for orchestration, Agoric lowers barriers for developers, allowing for intuitive programming and seamless integration with existing chains like Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and Cosmos.

Tribble highlighted practical applications of the orchestration API, such as enabling users to automate yield management across multiple chains. For instance, users can move USDC from Arbitrum to Polygon, deposit it into Compound, and automatically transfer the generated yield to a cold storage Ethereum wallet - all through a few lines of code.

The session concluded with Tribble envisioning a future where developers could enrich existing decentralized applications with advanced functionality, akin to microservices in Web2.
Agoric's orchestration API is now live, setting the stage for broader adoption of cross-chain workflows in 2025.
