Introduction
Hello. My name is Ammar Ahmad and I am currently a sophomore in college. My majors are Computer Science. Currently, my passion is to gain much knowledge as possible and use every opportunity that helps me reach my career goals. Deepgram Hackathon is a very beautiful opportunity where I can use my knowledge to make Deepgram a more beautiful and useful platform and also increase interaction with beautiful and talented people. Unfortunately, This is my first encounter with Deepgram but I am looking forward to having a beautiful experience with this and many more.
My Deepgram Use-Case
As a student of Computer Science, I am always interested in activities like these though I don't have a computer science background lol. I am sure I will have an amazing experience and I will get a lot of things to learn in this hackathon. My Idea is to provide a catalyst for the companies that use deepgram for their work. It will improve their work efficiency related to audio to text by providing a new valuable service.
Deepgram is a very useful platform to convert audio into text. Some new features will make it more useful and valuable.
Companies such as Microsoft, Google, call centers, etc, use software to convert speech to text, and after that their employees collect data such as id numbers, product numbers, or any other useful data they want to collect from that text which software generates that takes a bunch of time. Our Goal now is to give more service in less time. The idea is to add a new feature that will automatically generate such data from the script it is converting at the end. e.g., the user is converting an audio file into the text from which he/she wants the product id. He/she will set a trigger type option in Deepgram which will automatically write out or highlight the product id from the whole text which will be generated by the Deepgram at the end. This will be efficient in many ways such as saving time for the employees, collecting data without any error, and profitable for company revenue as well.
Conclusion
