When I think of great leaders, I always think of this guy dancing at a festival, all alone. Within one song, he is joined first by one person, then another, then another, until there is a huge crowd. That scene perfectly demonstrates all 5 characteristics you mentioned.

That's a great comparison, thanks for sharing 😊
Lately there have been three dimensions as a subordinate leader (i.e. middle-manager) that I look for in the people I report to in higher leadership positions than the one I inhabit. These may evolve with more time, but presently they are:
Boldness in their beliefs on how to execute the mission, but enough healthy skepticism that they aren't afraid of giving their cohorts and subordinates a voice for better ideas and approaches.
A healthy skepticism of the status quo, but enough deferential self-awareness to carry the torch and put aside their own egos.
Finally, an abundance of humanity and humility to meet people where they are, even when in moments where one must necessarily "be the boss".
Now, ironically, given that last one, I would like to share-as a dramatized example-a moment from one of my favorite bits of Star Trek lore where Lt. Commander Data, as acting Captain exhibits all three in the span of about 4 minutes-wittingly reflecting the foundations of leadership tactics laid by his superior officer Captain Picard, even while verbally reprimanding a subordinate.

Hi David, thank you for sharing these! I also watched the Star Trek excerpt, I'm impressed that you knew which scene matches your comment 😄👍
it's....a bit compulsive at this point LOL
Takes lead, doesn't babysit you but teaches you enough to get you going and be productive on your own.
Great point 👍
