Does anyone know of any companies that are accepting remote work for junior front-end devs or UI designers? I'm not even looking for something from Big Tech, just some remote work for me to get my feet wet with.

You may start looking at some job platforms, instead of dev.to.
Personal Advice: You can build your own websites, and sell them to make profit or maintain them for profit. If that's not in your plan, you may start by looking for jobs at regional startups.
