I believe that the waiting time is worth it
Heavy zsh on local, bash on remote. Startup time with oh-my-zsh plugins is worth it, but remote just needs a few indicators.
It's been zsh with grml-config for years.
zsh, with powerlevel10k theme (faster git status), and the antibody plugin manager (concurrent loafing) with oh-my-zsh plugins
