SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) version of the SAP S/4HANA ERP System.

Is a Software distribution model in which a cloud provider hosts applications and makes them available to end users over the internet.What is SAP S/4HANA ERP System?
ERP Stands for Enterprise Resource Planning: Core business processes needed to run a company: finance, HR, manufacturing, supply chain, services, procurement etc. "In a nutshell, it is a set of software application that are intended to integrate and streamline business processes".

In SAP words, SAP S/4HANA "is a suite of integrated business applications that enable the planning of company resources according to the needs of the company".
It is part of BES, Business Event Service, an event-driven architecture component in SAP that allows different systems, apps or processes to communicate and update each other.
