hi everyone, i'm new here and wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I work with developers who are building new DSLs. right now, I'm working on a language for zero knowledge called Noir. I am eager to learn and meet new people and connect with other people who are excited about new programming languages. Is there a community for new languages? thanks!
I'm here on Twitter if anyone would like to connect (esp if you are passionate about learning new languages!) x.com/clairekart
That's so awesome but I'm really confused. May I ask you what is a language for zero knowledge?? By the way, your name caught my attention because my stepmom is called Claire and my last name is Kent. Also so Claire card pretty close right? But that's besides the point I'm very interested ito know!
Hi Claire,
Welcome! 👋
Hope you enjoy your time here and have a fruitful journey along the way. 🌟
Exactly this, Claire.. welcome!

Hi everyone! I’m Mike and I’ve been in the web development biz for almost 25 years now. I’ve been in business for myself as an independent software consultant for a variety of clients in industries such as insurance, local governments, automotive, real estate, among others. My current development stack is Angular / .NET Core WebApi / MS SQL Server / Azure Entra ID for Authentication.
Over the years, I’ve developed my own app template and productivity tools so that I can get started with new projects faster and develop my apps faster, saving my clients both time and money. My app template consists of about 50,000 lines of code provides a full admin experience out of box. My productivity tools set up new instances of the template and can generate CRUD and Reporting code features by analyzing the schema of existing database tables, views and stored procs. These tools have saved me A TON of time over the years and I figured that this could probably be of use to someone other than myself… so I created LymeStack: lymestack.com
I came to Dev.to via a word of mouth referral from a friend and I’m looking for beta testers for my template and tools. I am looking for other developers who are experienced in Angular and .NET Core. I feel like my template is pretty good, but could even be better and I need help! I’m willing to exchange help for some free licenses and a testimonial if it works out.
Thanks for reading!
You're looking at one of the best beta testers right here. I have evaluated many many websites apps. I'm an awesome editor in fact, honestly reading your post. I'm thinking of how I could simplify and edit it so that like people that have no clue about what you're talking about could understand it. But that's besides the point because your record part is awesome and I would love if we could connect somehow because I think that we could really help each other. You seem to have a really really solid resume that I appreciate greatly and it's very diverse as is mine. Hopefully maybe you would be interested in chatting so that we could see if this could work. If I could maybe help you with the baby testing. Thank you so much for your time. Best regards, charlotte
Hi Charotte! Thanks for the response! Feel free to fill out the contact form on my website with your contact information and I will get back to you and we can set up a time to meet and I can help you get it installed on your system and show you the basics.
Hi Charlotte! I noticed I haven't received any contact information from you. Send me it when you get a chance!:

I love the site! Also, welcome to DEV. :)
Hi michael keep up the good work!
Good morning everyone, I write random posts, hahaha. When I see something that doesn't exist or that maybe explaining it would be clearer, I create a post. I'm a little absent, I'm doing my postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence. Work and study. It's consuming a lot of time. But I'm not stopping writing, I'm creating some milestones to post here, instead of single posts. That's why it's taking time too.
For newbies
be welcome.
One tip I have for you, force reading instead of videos. Are videos good? YES. But reading will help you more, that's why I chose to write AI-related topics. Instead of videos, the brain works like a muscle, the more you train the stronger it gets, videos don't exercise like reading, you absorb less watching than reading. I talk about this because I had difficulty reading technical documentation, I started reading more and more and more, books, topics from different areas, now I no longer have that difficulty
This is the même that represents me lol, those strong in computer vision will understand hahah
I really appreciate this encouragement. I believe in it too. Sometimes you start off reading about a new topic and it is insanely confusing at first, but I have found that if I continue reading almost as if I can already understand what I'm reading, then some time after once I consistently read about it, I can then go back to the first article, and continue learning, or by the fifth or tenth article or lesson, it all begins to come together and make some sense.
Very good advice!
It doesn't have to be super complex reading, the discipline of reading will exercise your brain. The stronger the better, when complicated readings arrive, you will feel more comfortable.
I understand the image. :D
As a passionate developer, I believe that mastering four essential skills – code reading, writing, speaking, and _listening _– is crucial to thriving in our field. However, the main challenge many of us face is effectively perceiving and understanding other developers' code and conversations. This can create barriers to collaboration and innovation. As a JavaScript enthusiast and web theorist, I am dedicated to helping you overcome these obstacles. I can guide you in honing these critical skills, making it easier to navigate complex codebases and communicate effectively with your peers. Let's work together to build a more connected and proficient developer community where everyone can thrive and contribute their best.
Welcome to DEV!
Thank you so much!
Welcome aboard!

Welcome

Thank you
Looking forward to exploring cloud computing soon! Welcome Aboard!
Hello I've been doing webdevelopment since the early 2000's. Mostly building websites and web applications using a self made CMS. Started my own company in 2016 doing the same thing. Started working on a SaaS in 2019, working towards making that my primary business.
I've been using PHP, MySQL & JS since the start, and still enjoy using it. It keeps evolving. Recently started with Vue3. My website (which is quite outdated, working on a new one) kiksaus.nl/en
That's quite a bit longer than me. You must be pro. 😄
Welcome to DEV!
give me a job already!!!
anyway hello !!!
Hello, I'm am Egyptian programmer. I love everything about computer science, Cybersecurity, UI and logo design, and of course writing articles!
I've worked on many projects before, and I'm currently working on a system for schools in my state to use.. Which include a mobile app, a SPA website, an API and a database!
This has been my most challenging and experience-making project so far, wish me luck!
That's pretty cool. I actually just did a testing on a website that was kind of similar to that. It was pretty much single page helping high schoolers learn how to transition to college, so I think that's pretty neat.
Cool! I've thought about travelling to Egypt. I live in USA.
Oh, you're always welcome here! Egyptians love tourists, but you definitely need to know about some stuff beforehand 😅
Yeah, I'm sure there's a lot to learn! I'm not even considering going until next year, so I've got some time to figure things out. :)
Take your time!
Hey everyone! So I honestly never thought I'd find myself having to go and actively grow my network until recently. The reason is I'm at a startup and we're doing a different type of recruiting where the engineering team is reaching out to their network for candidates to join the company. We had some high-quality people come in which is why I realize now the importance of expanding and fostering a good network! So if anyone wants to connect, I'm always down for a good chat with good people!
Welcome to DEV! How are you?
I am doing great! Thank you for asking! Nice to change things up a bit!
That's awesome! What programming languages are you interested in?
