All wins count -- big or small 🎉
Examples of 'wins' include:
- Getting a promotion!
- Starting a new project

I have released first test version of my Nuxt Ignis - Nuxt template starter package. The goal is you use it as a layer to extend from and it shields you from a ton of repeatable dependencies. Most modules are optionated via .env, so you only use what you need.
Still a lot to do and improve, but the basic concept works and thats my win this week.
For the first time, one of my articles appeared in Trends 🙏🔥🔥
I actually had a big win, I got a certificate in full-stack software development foundations. (I had been working on it for some time) and now I've got a full plate of things I want to do. The focus was Ruby on rails for anyone that's about to ask. Haha.
Congrats! I love Ruby :)
Thanks! When I found out DEV was built using Ruby I was excited about it.
Returning to Dev.to after a three-year hiatus.
Whoa!
Grinding through Advent of Code with minimal input from AI. I'm slow, but I'm proud that I'm pushing through with my own brain.
Awesome!
I started sleep training my kids, which means no one in the house is really getting sleep but I made it through the week! Feeling hopeful and looking forward to a future where I might have a couple hours to myself each night.
Other than that, work has mostly been uneventful which is how I like it nowadays. Enjoying the quickie post feature lately and looking forward to its evolution :)
My talk on reducing Pull Request review time to zero just got accepted! Excited to deliver it at my local meet-up later in the year.
It’ll be my first time speaking publicly beyond my usual circle—looking forward to the experience!
Since I got my first digital SLR camera a year back, I have been trying to make some photos. I was able to photograph birds, butterflies, flowers, a sunset, candid photos, a puppy woo-wooing at me, etc. I have some of them online for viewing at photos.
Last week I decided to make a social media platform for gamers using Laravel Livewire. There aren't any cool features yet but I was able to detect mentions and hashtags. And of course, the mentions and replies create a notification!
This week has been a mix of challenges and small wins. My dad's health has been a concern as winter approaches, and I’ve been focusing on giving him daily physiotherapy for his left side, which was affected by a stroke. It’s tough balancing work, studies, and this responsibility, but I’m managing. On a brighter note, I’ve noticed more people reaching out to me via mail with coding problems and they found me through this community or platforms like Facebook. They’ve appreciated my writings, which feels really rewarding. Helping them with solutions at night has been a surprising way for me to learn and grow too.
