Depends on who controls the computer, I guess. Would I choose it as an alternative to slow physical and mental degradation and be copied a million times and run on space probes and Internet connected computers? Heck yeah!

No. Why? Because I don't want someone accessing my entire brain from a computer. What if the computer gets hacked? Surely then consciousness would not be that good anymore? What if you are so tired of living on a computer that you want to stop, but are trapped eternally?

Great concept though.

Hmmm.....not really but i would love for my grandparents or parent to live on sharing stories of their memories with their wishes and advices for me or knowleadge or insights I have for future generations.

Kind of reminds me of this The Hospice Biographers. Sadly my country & culture consider death as taboo, which we won't talk about this.

The only thing that we kept across the years. It is our history, habits, culture that is reflected in how we deal with death. While passing on our legacies & expectation for the next generation & remembrance through our holidays to mourn our ancestor.

No, why would anyone want to live forever?
This concept has always been weird to me.
It would be really mean to subject your consciousness to such an exist, the real question should be, would you subject your consciousness to a game like Sword Art Online
