Four partially edentulous models were fabricated using photopolymer resin, each having different angulation and depth of the implant analogs. A total of forty open tray elastomeric impressions were made which were poured in type IV die stone (n = 10). These casts were evaluated and compared for accurate reproduction of the spatial orientation of the implant analogs in the models using digitization in three dimensions. The results were analyzed using the independent T test. Statistically significant differences were observed when the casts were compared with their respective master models. These casts had the implant replicas placed deeper within the replicated soft tissue. Making accurate impressions in partially edentulous situations with dental implants placed with varying depth and angulation is critical and clinically demanding. There is a need for future in vivo research to identify methods and materials, exploring digital impression techniques as well, in order to make precise impressions.Severe atrophy of the maxillary anterior region may make implant placement difficult and as a result, iatrogenic complications such as nasal floor perforation may occur. The purpose of this case report is to present radiographic and nasal endoscopic features in the anterior nasal floor when dental implants were inadvertently perforated into nasal cavities. Between 2003 and 2018, four patients recorded with anterior nasal floor perforation with dental implants were followed and reviewed with panoramic radiographs and cone-beam computed tomography. Also, nasal endoscopic examinations were performed by one otolaryngologist. Four implants in four patients were included in this case report. All implants achieved osseointegration and survived for 5-23 years without clinical complications. Three implants did not show any mucosal thickening and only one had minor mucosal thickening as visible on the radiographs. Nasal endoscopy examinations revealed that three implants were covered with mucosa and one had threads exposed. Intraorally, only one had clinical signs of peri-implant mucositis. Dental implants that perforated into the anterior nasal floor did not show clinical, radiographic, and nasal endoscopic complications during the long-term follow-up period. Nasal endoscopy was a better diagnostic tool to evaluate the implants perforated into the nasal cavity than conventional panoramic or cone-beam computed tomography.The aim of this study was to examine the primary stabilization of different vertically impacted bone implants. Implant stability was measured by resonance frequency analysis. Forty-five dental implants were used and divided into three groups. Group 1 was placed 4 mm (1/3 impacted), Group 2 was placed 8 mm (2/3 impacted), and Group 3 was placed 12 mm (fully impacted). Implant stability quotient values were measured on the longitudinal and transversal axis by two independent researchers. The fully-impacted group showed the significantly highest value among the groups (p less then 0.05). There were statistically varying implant-stability quotient values between researchers. None of the 1/3 impacted implants' value reached a 70 implant-stability quotient value.The Polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2) catalyzes histone H3 Lys27 trimethylation (H3K27me3) to repress gene transcription in multicellular eukaryotes. Despite its importance in gene silencing and cellular differentiation, how PRC2 is recruited to target loci is still not fully understood. Here, we report genome-wide evidence for the recruitment of PRC2 by the transcriptional repressors VIVIPAROUS1/ABI3-LIKE1 (VAL1) and VAL2 in Arabidopsis thaliana. We show that the val1 val2 double mutant possesses somatic embryonic phenotypes and a transcriptome strikingly similar to those of the swn clf double mutant, which lacks the PRC2 catalytic subunits SWINGER (SWN) and CURLY LEAF (CLF). We further show that VAL1 and VAL2 physically interact with SWN and CLF in vivo. Genome-wide binding profiling demonstrated that they colocalize with SWN and CLF at PRC2 target loci. Loss of VAL1/2 significantly reduces SWN and CLF enrichment at PRC2 target loci and leads to a genome-wide redistribution of H3K27me3 that strongly affects transcription. Finally, we provide evidence that the VAL1/VAL2-RY regulatory system is largely independent of previously identified modules for Polycomb silencing in plants. Together, our work demonstrates an extensive genome-wide interaction between VAL1/2 and PRC2 and provides mechanistic insights into the establishment of Polycomb silencing in plants.PMSF ic50
