Professional : Not as productive as I planned today. Responded to some questions that made me think and have to look some stuff up to make sure I understood fully what I was about to respond with. Moved around some tickets for the new quarter. Created a new ticket to track the stuff I've been researching. Tried to run a demo application locally on my work laptop, but ran into a lot of different permission errors. It's been a long time since I did any programming locally. Been mostly coding in in-browser editors and deploying projects by pushing to a GitHub repo. It's fine though, I just got the project running in StackBlitz without an error. Next thing I know, the day is over.
Personal : Last night, I refactored my project so that I can set the environment variables depending on the host before passing it to the rest of the code, I think. I haven't tried to deploy the proof of concept yet. My plan is to deploy the PoC in 3 places. Two where the environment variables are retrieved differently than most places and 1 where the current side project is deployed and I think uses the more common way. That should give me a good feel if the implementation will work. Since I mentioned StackBlitz earlier, they released a new product called https://bolt.new and I played around with it. I went through Bandcamp and picked the projects for this week and got the social media posts ready so I could post during my lunch break. Ended the night watching a new anime called "Dan Da Dan". It's an interesting story.
Going to eat dinner. Get my steps in before it gets too dark. I'm not a chicken, but where I'm at, all types of wild animals come out at night. haha Finish putting together the radio show. Finish up the environment variables refactor to fit for the hosts that I want to try and deploy to. If I have time, maybe deploy it to at least one. Looking to end the night watching the "Spy x Family" movie that I didn't have time to watch last night and watched "Dan Da Dan" instead. It's like an hour long.
