Another yearly edition of the Gamedev.js Survey wrapped in December, and the report was published in January. Other than that it was rather a slow month, because of all the non-gamedev things that needed to be handled.
Games
Nothing, unfortunately. Maybe next time.

Not that much this month, but still a solid amount of (short) posts:

OP Guild
The LittleJS Game Jam challenge winners were announced. The challenges, coming from and judged by OP Guild, were: Cozy , Arcadia , and Endangered Species.
Some new deals, collabs, and game jams were confirmed and should be announced soon.
Events
I went to Katowice to be a judge at the Neuroshima Hex Polish Championship finals that happened during Portalcon, Portal Games’ own convention. It was quite an interesting experience, since it was also my very first attendance to Portalcon itself.
It went surprisingly well, and we had the luck of having the author of FAQ and Codex on the spot, the person who knows the Neuroshima Hex rules the best out of anyone in Poland.
Other
The Gamedev.js Weekly newsletter had its biggest delay since the very beginning in 2014 — recent issue was sent three days later, on Monday instead of Friday.
Gamedev.js Survey 2024 report was prepared and published.
I had my second surgery in the past two months and I’m recovering.
I passed my driving test recently, in the very first attempt (with the car number 13). Something I thought I’ll never do in my whole life, drive a car, is now “just” another skill I learned. We’re currently trying to get our own car, but everything that can go sideways goes sideways. It’s really frustrating to bump into issues on every single step of the process, but we’ll get there eventually.
Plans for the next month
It’s time to start the Gamedev.js Jam 2025 preparations.
