No one has ever visited the grave or hospital with a smile on their faces. Sad, sadder and saddest.
If you have ever thought about stress hitting health workers, i can assure you that the source is not the job itself but the nature of the environment. Hospital is full of complaints of different kinds. Pains, sadness, rape cases, life threatening conditions and the worst you may think about. Health workers are people just like any other person. They get touched by various problems from different people called patients. The way you feel when your family member is sick sad and feeling like losing life, is the same way Doctors, Nurses, Clinical officers, Lab personnel and other health workers who have a close contact with sick people. Before a health worker gets tired of the job itself, they psychologically get stressed with sad news that patiensts comes with.
However, through training at various medical institutions it has been emphasised that dealing with life needs passion and empathy. It is that factor you see health workers smile and do all that is required to make the patient feel better. Honestly those smiles you see on faces of health workers are not less than 80% plastic. Yes. The sad feeling comes in but since the patient is in front of you it means they have trust in you and it is only you who they want to help them. Thats why when an emergency comes no health worker feels hungry. They all get busy to make sure a patient is stable, thereafter hunger resurfaces. Who among you can be happy to see someone die in your eyes? There are so many rumors about cruelty among health workers, that they get happy when a person dies. God forbid! Liars. I understand that health workers may have incongruent levels of empathy and passion, but not getting happy for a patient's dealth, Boza.
I remember when i just started work using my own resources for helping a patient in a critical condition. Am not a good samaritan per say but there are situations whereby there is nothing else you can do to save life its a matter of you doing everything possible or a patient will die.
What happens when a hospital fails to save a life?
Definitely, the graveyard is a destination, right? No matter your impression on other people's lives, know that neither you nor them will stay forever on this planet. We are all equal in many ways. Who among you breathes in flavored oxygen? Yes sister, bro, uncle, mum there? No one. You need the exactly neutral air for your life just like the person you think is the least you have ever seen in your entire life. To maintain peace and social equilibrium, every person has a purpose, and you may not be the one benefiting from it, but the community in one way or another. Okay who among us knows the day they will die, pinpointing the exact place, time and the people that will be there around? That is possible only if you have been given a death sentense or you are planning a suicide. That openly explains that a human being is nothing beyond what he can perceive at that point. Jugding people, treating people badly and being so egocentric is totally the worst of times. All you need is live life today, treat other people with respect and kindness because you are equal to them than you thought you are.
When you are alone and sitting, have you ever thought of what really life is all about? Its possible you have. The lifecycle is being born live and die. Nothing else. I am nothing really, to be honest, but i know one or two things about life. Its really nothing. You only make it meaningful with what you do for yourself and others while on earth.
Conclusion.
In as much as we have so many things to do or think about, the best is to be less worried, stop stressing about petty things. By so doing we will enjoy life. No matter how careful you are, home is your origin, the hospital is your bus stop, and the graveyard is your destination, whether you like it or not. There are more reasons to be happy and ignore whatever negativity some people may have about you. Do your best and work towards achieving your goals. End.
