Creating A Resource Group In Azure

Hello readers, I trust your week has been blissful. Yes? Well, this article is sure to give you that adrenaline rush. Lets do build some light cloud muscle. Shall we?

To begin, what is a Resource group? A resource group is a container that holds related resources for an Azure solution. The resource group can include all the resources for the solution or only those resources that you want to manage as a group.

So after that definition of what a resource group is, lets head to the cloud.

  • Sign in to the Azure portal. Login to the Azure portal with your username and password

Login to Azure

  • Select Resource groups. On the search menu, type resource group and press enter.

Search and select resource group

  • Select Create.

Select create

  • Select your Azure subscription. After which you enter a resource group name. Select an Azure location. Once this is done, select review and create

Select sub and location

  • To open the newly created resource group, select it from the list. Or, select Notification (the bell icon) from the top, and then select Go to resource group to open the newly created resource group.

Open resource group

And cut!!! Just like that a container that holds related resources for an Azure solution has been created. Talk about a light workout! And I'll see you in the next article.
