As I find myself scheduling more technical blog posts and practicing maintaining a regular writing habit I sometimes get lost in the details.
I believe that what works for me is writing articles that are a 10 minute read or less. When it comes to more technical stuff, the required time to complete the article, ensuring high quality content, increases.
This is sometimes a deterrent for me and I end up taking many days thus breaking the habit and not respecting the schedule.
Do you ever find yourself in a similar situation ?
Do you end up splitting your post in multiple parts to better manage your time and effort ?
What practice do you recommend ?

It's alright to have breaks from time to time. I would suggest that you should set aside about x amount of hours for writing articles for me it's 1hr 40 mins for low quality articles and 2 hrs 30 mins for my high quality articles.
Oh nice! I could try do that, do you usually write it all out in one sitting ? How often do you publish?
It depends I split between writing and editing sessions of 50% each. Currently my schedule is 3 times per week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
For technical posts, I usually dedicate a day making those. My content is usually AWS so I go around the AWS management console and take screenshots a lot. Then, I upload that to my blog. I write out to my heart's content until I finish the day. If there's time, I do editing. But I make sure not to publish in the same day. I take a rest and do the editing some other day, when my heads somewhere else. Editing for me usually takes longer than the time I spent writing the post.
For me I've definitely directed myself towards fairly small, self-contained topics that I can write short posts about. Since I'm trying to write every week, I don't want to / don't think I have the time to do super long articles or guides.
If I was to write an end to end guide though (and I have thought about doing one for some things) I would definitely break it up into multiple parts.
I understand I think I'll be doing exactly the same because I don't wanna break the habit because of a longer article, also as an avid reader I know my attention span doesn't let me read a very long article.
