Engineers have other hobbies aside from coding (if they do choose to code outside of work).
Some companies are trying to simplify their application process and even remove white board coding tests for more efficient methods in finding new developers.
You don't need to work in the well-known companies (Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, etc.) to be successful. A lot of developers want to work in these big companies but I just...don't. And that's ok. I prefer to work in a company with a small team.
I really believe that we can make more impact if the company is not big like those you mentioned. 👍
The number 1 is really important but offen ignored when planning for features.
