If you posting blogs on your own site, you can set up a canonical link to your blog so the engagement you get on dev transfers to your blog in search engines. I'd also recommend creating a sitemap for your website. This will make it so that you don't have to wait until your site is indexed my google to have it show up in search engines. Your dev article will show up first, but once you site gets scraped again and it sees the canonical link and site map, it will update and start showing your website once the scrappers do their thing!
