What is Mouser?
Mouser is a bespoke data collection tool for animal researchers. The application connects with measurement devices (scale, caliper, RFID scanner) via serial port and facilitates zero touch data collection. Who we are
Hi, Jack here. I'm the tech lead for Mouser. That means I oversee the technical development of the app, steer the creative vision of the project, and handle contributions from a dedicated team and people like you. Mouser has the privilege of being developed by an incredibly talented team of senior undergraduate computer science students.

Mouser is built from the ground up for animal researchers. One of the best experiences with Mouser is working directly with the university's labs to make Mouser perfect for their work. Seeing how Mouser fits into a real research environment helps us prioritize problems and create solutions. Because of their collaboration and feedback, Mouser
- connects directly with serial devices for zero touch data collection
- has a modern user interface designed to be practical in lab settings
- exports data as a csv to use in other statistical and research tools
