Google has announced the introduction of Bard, a conversational AI service that utilizes the company's Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA).
CEO Sundar Pichai highlighted AI as a focus for the company, and the advent of Bard means that its AI features will be integrated into Google Search, assisting billions of daily searches.
Unlike OpenAI's ChatGPT, Bard can provide information on recent events. A lightweight model version of LaMDA will be released first, with more AI tools to come in the coming months.
Currently, Bard is only accessible to trusted testers.
