You life is not complicated you are unorganized

Hey 👋 I'm Juan, and today I want to share something that happened to me this week. Recently, I started working in a new place, I moved, I’m working...

Timeboxing doesn’t work for people prone to anxiety, such stuff kills them. And even in simpler cases: I’m pretty sure it’s not very scalable and will exhaust a person in a long run.

But yeah, it’s probably the best (and the only?) way to be 100% productive. If that’s the goal 😉

Agree with that... I used to fill up my calendar like that. If I miss one thing off my calendar then damage control kicks in... I start shifting and shuffling around other tasks to accommodate uncompleted ones... and then eventually end up with regrets of not completing things on time...

maybe I am just not as good at time estimation or time management as others.

I complete understand, maybe something that I forgo to mention on the post is that we shouldn't feel bad because we couldn't complete all the tasks of the day. For example this last days I've been sick and my productivity went down, that's fine, I'm sick. The idea is having a road-map that help us keeping track of what we are doing and what we need to do, that way we don't waste energy having to think about this every time. Thanks for sharing your opinion; I consider it really interesting.

Nah, that’s a common scenario I believe 😅 this damage control thingy is something I even tried to take care of using some kind of a system and calendar automations… But the truth is, it just makes it too complicated and the goal of time management is to simplify the whole thing to have consistent and calm control and do more with less efforts.

I've doing it for years and I can ensure that I feel more exhausted and stressed out when I don't do it

Wow I didn't know that. Here I'm talking from my personal experience and the only thing I found to calm me is knowing what to do and when to do it. Thanks for your comment

I see that many of you feel more anxious knowing what you have to do. The question that pop-ups on my mind from this is: Maybe that's yourself telling you that you aren't doing what you have to do or maybe your previous decisions are forcing you to do things that you don't want. Either way, isn't that ok? It's your conscious guiding you. Why fight against it?

Thanks for sharing your process, very insightful. It's interesting how different we can be. I know for me having everything in my calendar as blocks stresses me out.

Jajaja. I guess what stresses me out is not knowing what I have to do because then is when my mind starts to tell me that I'm doing nothing and that there are things that require my attention. Thanks for reading and sharing your opinion; I really appreciate it.
