I have some concerns:
I looked at 1 (emoji translate) and immediately thought, "this will make it more difficult for me to understand things".
Then I looked at 3 (you don't need javascript) and thought, "I bet most of these don't take accessibility into account". I looked at the repo and I was correct.
I hate JavaScript don't get me wrong; but perhaps it's about trying to break these university kids out of the rigid thought patterns they themselves have programmed with as opposed to a catch all JS replacement?
