AWS Database Migration Service now includes enhanced monitoring dashboard for your DMS tasks

What's new at AWS ๐Ÿ“ข

โ™€ #AWSDatabaseMigrationService now includes enhanced monitoring dashboard for your DMS tasks.

โ™€ With this launch, customers can now experience greatly improved monitoring capabilities for the database and various analytics workloads running in DMS.

โ™€ It helps us to streamline monitoring processes and quickly identify potential issues by viewing all relevant information in a centralized location

โ™€ These new dashboard improvements make it easier to monitor the health of data workload movements and troubleshoot problems.

โ™€ Observability tasks such as,
โš• Aggregated & customized metrics for multiple DMS tasks
โš• Visualize utilization for all tasks on replication instance
โš• Enables ease of identify the root cause of task issues as well.

โ™€ In addition to that, By default, enhanced monitoring metrics follow the retention policy for CloudWatch metrics
โš• 1 minute datapoints are available for 15 days
โš• 5 minute datapoints are available for 63 days
โš• 1 hour datapoints are available for 455 days

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: CloudWatch Log not delete the log events immediately, only after 72 hours of retention period expired.
