I'm the owner of Developer Journal - an app that helps indie developers keep track of progress of their app(s) during development.
🤔 What exactly is Developer Journal?
Let's be honest - there aren't a bunch of apps that can make creating projects fun. Sure, there are corporate apps, but what is corporate should stay that way 😁 (but to be honest - they all feel complex and overkill for us - indie hackers and developers)
So, why not build an app that can eliminate this issue - and that's exactly what Developer Journal is. It provides an easy and uncluttered way to track your projects while adding a bit fun to it.

Great! Let's start with the gamification (to be fair it's my favorite part). In the app you can collect achievements, levels (& xp) and streaks. All designed to keep you making these amazing apps!
But when you are busy coding, that's not an issue. You can create checkpoints (also called journal entries, or progress logs of your project) straight from the terminal 🫡. The best part? You probably have it already installed. In your git commit message, just type [dj] and after a few seconds, our AI will take and analyse what you have changed.
And do you remember what you've did a year ago? I don't. Of course, until I've started to use Developer Journal. From time to time, you get "stories/memories/recaps" of your app. These can range from one month ago to even a couple years back. Works like magic!
