I downloaded some episodes of LadyBug for my morning walks 🙂 I love Darknet Diaries and Reply All. Also Linear Digressions, Developer Tea, Stuff you should know, Philozophize this, Hanselminutes, The Stack overflow podcast, Lore, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, Ted Radio Hour and some for learning German 🙂

Sure thing, it's always a great practice to listen to something non-tech as well. For example, I've listened to some Soft Skills Engineering episodes and they are awesome from a different perspective. 💯
I believe softs skills are heavily underrated in today's market. ☹

Soft skills are very important!
But also just some random stories make you relax, it’s ok to not be a dev 100% of the time.
Something many people expect or think sometimes

I see where you are going. Sometimes I like to take at least a couple days off and switch to something like hiking, biking, etc, where I can fully relax the mind. 🏞
It works wonders, as you come back fully energized and you can find solutions to stuff that didn't click for weeks at daily routine. ✨🧙‍♂️

They're production is great, some podcasts take so long to make, but they're worth the wait 🔥

Python:

Tech/Software Development:

  • The Changelog - Conversations with the hackers, the leaders, and the innovators of software development.
  • DevNews Podcast (DEV.to) - The Podcast made by the People running this community ^^.
  • Software Defined Talk - Kubernetes, serverless, cloud, DevOps, & coding. Get the lazy WTF each week, mostly.
  • Practical Operations Podcast - A pragmatic podcast discussing Systems, Operations and Scaling with a focus on real world use cases and solutions to common problems.

Not Tech:

  • 99% invisible - 99% Invisible is a weekly exploration of the process and power of design and architecture.
  • Zeitsprung - German History Podcast. (dringende Empfehlung 😉 )

And some more, but those are the ones that came to mind immediately, and my phone is in another room right now... Maybe I will expand with another comment later. 🤷 😉

I always wondered do they translate technical terms like containers, cache, hoisting, etc in non-English languages?? 👀

Collapse

jperaza1 profile image
Jose Enrique Peraza Santamaria

Hey, Basically no, we almost always say the technical terms in English, for example: "Hay que borrar la cache del navegador" o "Necesitamos un hosting para nuestra aplicacion" xD

Hahah, yeah I guess trying to translate particular terms might sound awkward 😂
At the end of the day, the key point is to understand the context 😉

Corecursive is by far the best podcast I listen to. Every episode has at least one spicy take that challenges me and my assumptions about what "good code" is.
