This week was marked by continued efforts in fine-tuning the Whisper model and preparing for the final stages of my Elderly Care System project. The early part of the week involved gathering and curating additional resources for fine-tuning. I initially conducted what I thought would be the last fine-tuning session but later decided to discard the results after receiving an extension for the project deadline.
The extended deadline allowed me to spend more time refining the model by sourcing better and more diverse resources. The fine-tuning session on Day 26 showed significant improvements in the model's ability to generate conversational language, which is critical for the success of the project.
As I prepare for the final fine-tuning session next week, I’ve also started drafting my project report. This report will document the methodologies, challenges, and successes encountered during the project, serving as a comprehensive overview of the work done. The progress made this week has set a strong foundation for both the final fine-tuning and the completion of the report, ensuring that the project will meet its extended deadlines with a high level of quality.
