Alternatively, you are also capable of creating your own custom experience due to its open source nature and the good development experience it provides.

I think I would be tempted to try my hand at creating a custom solution before using a platform like Medusa or Shopify. Just for the challenge 😁 Using the MERN stack most likely but possibly a SQL backend.
Sounds interesting! Unlike Shopify, though, Medusa would allow you to create a completely custom solutions without the need to re-write everything from scratch. You can take Medusa and modify it as you see fit to your use case. Definitely would save you a lot of time.
