Yeah, I feel 1:1's are the best place to get feedback on a macro-level. It helps you and your manager align the goals. Further, I have found 1:1's to be a place to not to just get feedback on my technical work but also on soft-skills, I think these are important because you get to see things from another person's shoes in a candid setup.

A lot of organisations don't really make time for feedback.
Same goes for a lot of devs who might be too busy, or introverted to ask for some.

Hope this post convinces anyone to take a step in that direction.
