The government called for negotiations with GENZ, but GENZ declined, citing the ruling party's dishonesty in negotiations as a common tactic.
As the saying goes, "Dawa ya moto ni moto" ("The remedy for fire is fire"). The ruling government hired goons through proxy means to counter peaceful demonstrators.
