Let me be honest - I've tried every web scraping method out there.

I've written Python scripts, played around with no-code tools, wrestled with APIs, and even used AI to scrape websites.

And you know what? The only thing that consistently worked was writing code with top Python packages.

But here's the problem - that only works if you're a programmer. And most people aren't.

The other tools? They hardly ever work like they say they will. And for most people, scraping data becomes nothing but a pain.

Well, not anymore.

I've tested over 20 no-code web scraping tools, and I'm going to share the best ones with you.

Plus, I'll show you how to make money with them.

Note: This post is part of my AI Made Simple newsletter, where I cut through the noise and deliver real-world AI use cases and step-by-step guides. Want to be a part of it? Subscribe here. It’s FREE.

Let's start.

1. Octoparse

I don't know why I didn't try this earlier - but seriously, this tool is insane.

I'm talking about Octoparse - one of the best no-code web scraping tools on the internet to help everyone scrape data.

And I actually liked how it works and how it makes the process super easy.

To get started, just visit their website and download their app.

When you open the app, you can start by adding the specific URL to scrape data, and proceed further.

Even it has multiple tutorials and several popular templates to make things even easier.

I was creating a children's book using AI and needed some data from Amazon for research.

So I simply added the specific link to Octoparse - and when I started the process, I enabled their Auto-detection feature.

It automatically found the needed data and created a workflow.

Sure, I can easily modify the changes using their point-and-click interface, adjust the workflow as I wanted, and proceed to scrape.

It's that simple.

Now, after creating the workflow, you can either run the task locally on your device or in the cloud.

I selected the "Run on your device" option and proceeded further.

Here's the data it provided me:

And the best part?

They have a number of prebuilt task templates for literally everything - from scraping contact details to Amazon, YouTube, Twitter, Google Maps, and more.

This allows you to use any of these prebuilt templates and scrape websites in no time.

Now, let's talk about some of its insane features:

  • First of all, it has a super easy point-and-click interface, so you can just click on the data you want from a web page. You don't need any coding experience.
  • It even has an auto-detection feature that automatically finds the relevant data when you add a specific link to scrape the data and even creates a workflow.
  • It can handle websites with tricky, dynamic content, like those using AJAX and JavaScript.
  • It can also behave like a real user, prevent IP blocking during data extraction, and more.
  • Lastly, you can run the tasks on your device or in the cloud, and you can export data with ease in multiple formats.

Here's a great YouTube video to further explore Octoparse.

2. Magical Chrome Extension

Now, this isn't as great as Octoparse, but it's still really useful and super easy to use for scraping data.

The process is simple:

Just search for "Magical Chrome Extension" on Google and download the extension.

Once installed, you can visit websites like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and more to scrape the data you need effortlessly.

I tried it on LinkedIn by opening multiple content creators' profiles to scrape their data.

Trying Magical on LinkedIn

And the best part? With just a couple of clicks, I was able to automatically export the data to a new spreadsheet, a form, and more.
And yes, I also had the option to edit the scraped data to fine-tune exactly what I needed.

What else? Well, you can scrape multiple LinkedIn profiles at once.

You just need to open all the profiles in separate tabs, scrape data from one tab, and Magical will grab the same type of data from all the open LinkedIn tabs.

Here's a great video that walks you through it.

3. Browse AI

Now, the last no-code web scraping tool I want to talk about is Browse AI.

First, you need to visit their website and create an account.

And then, you'll see a page with two options: one to extract structured data and the other to monitor site changes.

To extract data, the process is super simple - just add the URL, choose Robot Studio (like we did with Octoparse) or use their Chrome extension (like we did with Magical), and then scrape your data.

But I want to focus on their next feature, called "monitor site changes".

With this feature, you can monitor your competitor's website using a robot that notifies you whenever they change their data.

The process is simple here as well - you just need to create a monitor, add the options you want, and that's it.

The best part?

Besides extracting data and real-time monitoring, you can even integrate it with Google Sheets, Airtable, and more.

And talking about pricing - you can get started for free.

How to use these web scraping tools to make money

Alright, now let's get to the real question - how do I actually make money with this?

To be honest, I make money in multiple ways.
First off, I use these web scraping tools to collect specific data for my business and side hustles - like for research, outreach, or creating content.

But the real money comes from client work.

I get clients who need lead generation, competitor research, scraping product data for inventory and pricing, and more.

And I sell that data for a set price - simple as that.

Note that I've been working online for over 5 years, so it's easier for me to get clients because of my experience and the quality content I've shared online.

But if you're just starting out, you need to find clients.

And for that, you have two options:

  • Create a profile on freelancing platforms like Upwork or Fiverr
  • Cold email potential clients who might need data scraping services (think e-commerce stores, marketing agencies, consultants)

And I need to say this - there's a huge demand for this kind of work. You just need to show up and start offering value.

Let's wrap up

Now, you know that no-code web scraping tools are super easy to use and can be a goldmine if you use them right.

But I've seen that most people focus on the wrong things.

I have seen people using different AI tools and even learning about web scraping methods, using no-code web scraping tools, and more - but they never figure out how to monetize.

So my advice is: if you are new to web scraping or any other profession, start something with the end in mind.

Ask multiple questions to yourself like:

  • Who needs the specific data?
  • How will you package it?
  • Where would you get the clients?
  • How will you sell it?

Once you have the answers to these questions, everything else falls into place.

Hope you like it.

That's it - thanks.
