How to scrape data with the Ultimate Web Scraper

A few months ago I was trying to copy paste a list of items from a website. Simple, right?

No.

"Just setup a python script..."

Out of frustration I build my own no-code data scraper. It's a Chrome plugin and it runs locally in your browser.

I named it The Ultimate Data Scraper: PandaExtract 🐼

The Data Scraper

The plugin has been made with ease-of-use in mind and it can help you perform the following:

  • Extract lists or tabular data from (almost) any website.
  • Extract similar data from many pages
  • Extract emails from one or more pages

My goal is to make it into the "ultimate web scraper" for people that just want to extract data and don't want to deal with code.

If you want to see a more detailed preview, I've made a video:

Let's get scraping!

So what can you scrape? One popular use case is scraping google maps businesses for lead generation.

Simply open the plugin and hover over a list of item

Once clicked, the data will be extracted automatically into a table

It's that simple!

This works with most websites and it's not limited to google maps.

Thoughts

This app is not meant to replace traditional web scraping but rather to help less technical people deal with simple data extraction from websites.

Will continue to take feedback and improve on it!

What are your thoughts?
