I always facing a point 1 -> 4. My technic against burn out is

  • make a hobby project ( best if I tight to a challange )
  • qualify the problems on early as possible and channelling to a proper teams
  • I always have a plane B: how transform a legacy painful work to a much cleaner one.
  • keep dependency low as possible
