I bought a Tank007 brand WF02 flashlight some time ago. It is a flat design flashlight, which is quite different from the traditional cylindrical flashlight.
The cylindrical shape is a classic design that we all know, with a round body and a light source that is usually facing forward. These flashlights tend to have the following features:
Ergonomic: Their shape is easy to grip and operate.
Durable and reliable: The design is simple and usually durable.
Compact: Easy to store in a bag or pocket.
However, their performance may be more limited in terms of flexibility. The beam is usually fixed and cannot be adjusted in any significant way.
Odd-shaped flashlights (e.g., T-shaped, flat design)
Odd-shaped flashlights are a newer variety that include a variety of unique shapes. These usually offer:
Adjustable beam: Some can focus or spread the light to suit different situations.
Special features: For example, the T-shaped design can be easier to use in narrow spaces or hands-free situations.
Novelty and style: They often look cooler and may have features designed for specific purposes, such as UV or multi-mode lighting.
But there are some disadvantages:
They may be less ergonomic and more difficult to hold for long periods of time.
The build quality may not be as sturdy as a cylindrical design.
They may not fit in a standard flashlight stand or pocket.
Which one is better?
What do you think? Does anyone here regularly use an odd-shaped flashlight? Or do you prefer the traditional cylindrical design because it's reliable and familiar?
