Hi, my name is Ruben. Im a software developer with over 15 years of experience in .NET, and Im starting this blog as a kind of diary about what I decided to call in a giant effort to be fun and relate it to development
"Refactoring My Career."
As I said, I have more than 15 years of experience in software development, but for the past 34 years, impostor syndrome has been hitting me hard. Im sure there are more people like me out therepeople with a lot of experience in software development but not as much experience in companies that follow good practices, more "advanced" methodologies, or structured design approaches.
My Goal
My main goal this year is to improve in this areanot just to get better jobs and be better prepared for my work, but also for myself: to feel more confident in my day-to-day and get that push to start my own side projects (yes, the ones you forget after a few months).
Sharing the Journey
I also want to share this process and my thoughts with others who might be going through something similar. Maybe you have the same "issues," or maybelucky youyoure on the other side of this feeling.
I understand that for some people, this is just a job and nothing more. For me, it used to be a passion. I dont know when exactly I lost that, but I want it back. And maybehopefullythis is the way.
Grab a coffee and join me on this journey of self-improvement!
