Data Engineering is growing in leaps and bounds, but how you get into it is not so obvious. Certifications and courses seem limited, and most people doing the work now started out doing something very different.
What's your advice?

Build a Strong Foundation:Gain a solid understanding of computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
Learn Database Management: Study SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as data modeling, to understand how to store and retrieve data efficiently.
Understand ETL Processes: Learn about Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, which are crucial for data integration and processing. Tools like Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica can be helpful.
Master Big Data Technologies: Familiarize yourself with big data tools and frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka to handle and process large datasets.
I believe creating a growth- learning road map for yourself as a newbie will go along way, you don't have to be scared or thrown off by the terminology and technologies required to excel.
Once you understand how the end-end process work, you can keep building.
