Sometimes, you come across a Shopify store and wonder, “What apps are they using to make their store so good?” Knowing which apps a store uses can help you improve your own store or simply learn from others. Let me share two easy ways to find out: a manual method and using Shopscan.app.
Method 1: Manual Method (Using Browser)
This method doesn’t need any special tools—just your browser. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Visit the Store
Go to the Shopify store you’re curious about.
2. Open the Page Source
Right-click anywhere on the page and select “View Page Source”.
Or press Ctrl + U (Windows) or Cmd + U (Mac).
3. Search for App Names
Use Ctrl + F (Windows) or Cmd + F (Mac) to search in the source code.
Look for keywords like app, cdn.shopify.com, or specific app names like klaviyo, judge.me, etc.
4. Check the Checkout Page
Some apps are only visible on the checkout page. Add a product to the cart and start the checkout process. Repeat the steps above to see if any app names pop up.
Note:
This method can be time-consuming and might not show all apps. Some apps run in the background and don’t leave visible traces.
Method 2: Use Shopscan.app (Easier Way)
If you want a faster and easier way, use Shopscan.app. It’s a tool I use because it makes this process simple and quick.
Go to Shopscan.app
Open Shopscan.app in your browser.Enter the Store URL
Paste the Shopify store link into the search box.Get the Results
In seconds, it will show you a list of the apps the store is using, such as review apps, marketing tools, or payment integrations.
Let me know if it works for you!
