A wild and precious life — this to me has been given.
"What will you do with me, oh restless sojourner?" It asks curiously, whispering softly into my ears, beckoning me with a question that ever haunts me.
Long and winding are the paths on which I have trodden. A destination, once reached, gives way to another, my heart ever anxious to reach its longed-for harbor. And yet my feet remain unsatisfied, yearning for new meadows on which to prosper and grow.
Once a man of the cloth, I spent my waking days and many wide-eyed nights as a guide unto others. It left me on my knees, weary, broken, and worn. Grateful for the experience yet over-burdened by its weight, I explored a new path as a maker of dreams and broker of walls. I rose in my craft, refining my approach — I earned for myself silver and gold! Yet something was found wanting as soon as it was discovered — a desire to obey that creative spark which longs to wed beauty to logic, and so weave forth tools to aid in our journey towards tomorrow's horizon.
My hands have held ancient books and felt the smoothness of freshly constructed walls. So many experiences have been gained, so many insights acquired! Yet even now, my knees tremble without the steadying aid of others. I, too, am in need of a guide.
And so I have joined the Div Guild, eager to be forged anew with like-minded individuals, as together we share, laugh, and grow! For it is no shame to be molded, even now and once again, as an apprentice. It means to be part of a movement — apprehendere — that seeks to seize and understand the essence of one's craft, learning from the experience of those who have traveled farther down the ever expanding road.
This is what I seek, then, as a member of the Div Guild — confidence gained from greater experience, a deeper belief in my own self as a crafter of code, and the knowledge needed to continue on this journey wisely, without needlessly wasting resources from an ill-formed desire to do it on my own.
And so I stand with you on this fascinating platform, ready for your company. For Div's devotees must stand united... or falter alone! Share, then, with me your experience as I share of my own resources also. For together we will surely rise as masters of this craft!
