Let's be honest, dev.to provides us with a great experience. This site allows us to reach an audience of developers through a very simple and clean interface. And that is awesome, right?
However, I do feel like in terms of localization and translation, dev.to seems a bit behind. I myself could argue that English is the current lingua franca, and every programmer should master it at least at basic level. It does not help though that sometimes I would like to write for a Portuguese speaking audience, since I'm Brazilian, about things that would not be very useful out of the context of programming that is specific for Brazilian needs.
This sometimes is frustrating, because I have lost the count of articles that I have not written due to lack of localization. Also I sometimes just want to be able to write some general stuff for my team and I don't like our current tools. So I feel forced to write in English, which costs me more time and energy, and certainly costs them as well.
I guess for now people will just have to excuse me when I write things in Portuguese in here, because I'm definitely not going back to Medium.

I don't really mind about translation as much as I do care about localization of the site, and I honestly don't know if that is on the maintainers mind.
