ServBay 1.8.0 Released: Support for Apache

We are excited to announce that ServBay, the powerful all-in-one development environment management tool, has been updated again!

Image description

This time, we have introduced the long-awaited Apache. Starting from version 1.8.0, developers can now choose to use Apache as the default web server, providing an additional option alongside NGINX and Caddy. By incorporating Apache, a tool familiar to many developers, the convenience and compatibility of web development will be further enhanced.

For new ServBay users:
During the ServBay initialization process, you can now select Apache as the default web service.

For existing ServBay users:

  1. Install the Apache software package through the "Services" page.
  2. Set Apache as the default web server via the "Settings" page. ServBay will automatically help migrate your configurations from NGINX/Caddy to Apache.

Important Note:
If you have customized configurations for specific websites using Caddy or NGINX, those sites will not be automatically migrated to Apache. Manual configuration adjustments will be required for such cases.
