We added the possibility of connecting S3 vendors and providers to the CDN (Content Delivery Network) service. This integration realizes the possibility of reducing the cost of using the services of S3 providers by caching the content.
The CDN service was developed by specialists within the ITGLOBAL.COM group of companies. Servers deliver content through a geo-distributed network at a few points of presence: the USA, Canada, Europe, the CIS, and Turkey. The flexible connection of CDN to S3 providers allows transparency of access to information, restricts access, and realizes content delivery at maximum speed. It is more cost-effective to use a CDN to work with S3 because the cost of cached information is lower than the constantly consumed traffic from the S3 vendor.
You can read more about what CDN is and how to connect to it here.
Connecting to S3 allows you to save costs and not make the cost of using the service dependent on the region. Now development teams, DevOps teams, or site owners can reduce costs by over-utilizing static content bucketed for free in the CDN cache and reducing the cost of utilized traffic. Instead of consuming traffic between each member of the development team and the S3 provider, it is more profitable to use the CDN.
The CDN in the Serverspace control panel supports working with Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, and other S3 providers. Users can customize the connected buckets according to their needs. With the CDN's high degree of scalability and integration with most S3 vendors, users can easily handle traffic spikes and increased demand for content. This allows them to not worry about unplanned infrastructure expansion.
The CDN service enables users to reduce site response latency, increase content loading speeds, and improve SEO rankings. You can connect a site's domain to the service using zone delegation or using A and CNAME records, and separately, the content of S3 buckets.
