The five habits the book talks about are:

AWAKE, ARISE & KICKASS:

This is the first chapter of the book which also mirrors the first and foremost step to attain great lengths. That is waking up before dawn. This chapter not only explains the psychological benefits of waking up early but also the health benefits that come together. The need for exercise to keep our physical health intact is also depicted.

BE A HERO:

This chapter mainly talks about the greatness of volunteering. Volunteering is not only about serving outsiders but also our own families and friends. This form of service will help a person to have better leadership qualities. The need to become a volunteer mustn’t stop after death, and it should be continued as an organ donor which will help a lot of ill patients. Being a hero doesn’t mean only serving and donating, it also comes from being a savior of our mother Earth and by reducing pollution as much as a single person can.

BE A DROMOMANIAC:

This chapter depicts the need for a person to be a Dromomaniac. This means the uncontrollable urge to travel. Traveling not only helps us in relieving stress but also helps us to learn a lot. The knowledge can’t always be gained by books but by traveling and learning about the world. Traveling also helps in discovering our own selves which we have lost sense of long ago.

LIVE A 100 LIVES:

This lesson helps the readers to understand the importance of reading. Reading is one of the most efficient ways to gain knowledge. Reading not only helps in gaining knowledge but also makes the readers see different perspectives of different lives through biographies. Reading books helps us make rational decisions which may open ways to more success.

STAY CURIOUS: THE WHY HABIT:

The fifth chapter depicts the need for the habit of asking ‘why?’ Many people follow many superstitions just because they are said to be written in ancient books. The asking of why will help is stopping many inhumane practices like ‘Sati’. Many people use god’s name to misuse people which will be stopped by this practice. Staying curious also brings personal goodness like gaining knowledge. Staying curious and asking ‘why’, is never a bad habit.

In conclusion, this book guides a person to attain success by five different means which not only brings personal growth and development but also goodness through the deeds we need to provide. These five habits will help in break societal norms and help us to do good deeds and also grow in the process by developing both mental and physical health.
