First Project - Issue, Pull Request, Blog Post
The first project was the most challenging pull request for me. Because it is the first time to contribute to a big project. So, I was really careful with everything and but I decided to put the meaning that I contributed a part of this big project.
And after I created the pull request, they send me an invitation for slack and I went in and they asked me to keep contributing as a Korean translator if I have extra time. I think it is a really good chance to contribute to a big project. So, in my extra hours, I will keep contributing to translating the page from English to Korean.
Second Project - Issue, Pull Request, Blog Post
Second project seemed so interesting to me because it is a game very similar to candy crush which is my favorite. And because it made me interesting when I found that issue, the whole process of working on this project was so great. I tried to do more explanatory testing and found and create issues on this project.
Third Project - Issue, Pull Request, Blog Post
The third pull request is about the issue that I found and created while I am working on the second issue. So, I had the kind of responsibility that I am going to make this function work. And I got good comments for my second and third pull requests and it made me motivated to find a bigger issue on the last project.
Fourth Project - Issue, Pull Request, Blog Post
This was the project that I felt that I am communicating with the contributors of this project. I chat and asked some questions in the discord and they answered me about that question.
I also asked about how to come up with this project. and they told me that it was just started as a small project. But, after they are keep working on this project, they changed to an open-source project and now they have more than 50 contributors on their project. That part makes me interesting. I think it's also great and even though my current project is very small for now, if it becomes bigger, I can change it to public and open-source it.
To sum up
This month was chaos to me. I was so busy with exams in school and the project in my work until the third week of October and when I can breathe a bit, I noticed that I only had a week to finish this assignment. But I did not want to let this Hacktoberfest and my assignment leave me without learning anything.
So, when I start this Hacktoberfest, I did not expect that I can finish all this week on time. But I started it because I want to finish it even though I get a late mark and get some deduction. I think finding an issue was take most of the time. Once I find a good issue to solve and create a pull request was not take too much time. But, I tried to find something that fit me and it can help me to understand how the real open source world is flowing. Even though I can only sleep a few hours this week, it was a very good experience for me and I am so happy because I finished it on time :)
