🚀 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗠𝗧𝗣 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗦𝗣.𝗡𝗘𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲! 🔥

Today, I faced some issues while sending emails using 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗠𝗧𝗣 in 𝗔𝗦𝗣.𝗡𝗘𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲. After debugging, I found the solutions! Here’s what happened and how I fixed it.

1️⃣ 𝗦𝗠𝗧𝗣 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱: I tried to send an email, but it didn’t work.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: I checked my SMTP settings and confirmed the correct server details.

2️⃣ 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱: I tried to check SMTP connectivity using telnet, but it wasn’t recognized.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: I enabled 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 using 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁.

3️⃣ 𝗡𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿: The error “𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱” appeared.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: I tested my connection using 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁 (𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗺𝘁𝗽.𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺 𝟱𝟴𝟳).

4️⃣ 𝗚𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗔𝗽𝗽 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴: I couldn’t find an option to select "𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗹" when generating an App Password.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: I entered a custom 𝗔𝗽𝗽 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 and generated a 𝟭𝟲-𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗽𝗽 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱.

5️⃣ 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲/𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱: Gmail rejected my credentials.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: I used my 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 as the username and the 𝗔𝗽𝗽 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 instead of my regular password.

6️⃣ 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀: 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝟱𝟴𝟳 (𝗧𝗟𝗦) wasn’t working.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗜 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝟰𝟲𝟱 (𝗦𝗦𝗟) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗦𝘀𝗹 = 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲.

7️⃣ 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗠𝗧𝗣: My firewall was stopping the SMTP connection.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: I allowed 𝗦𝗠𝗧𝗣 (𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝟱𝟴𝟳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟰𝟲𝟱) 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹.

8️⃣ 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗘𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿𝘀: My app kept failing due to timeout issues.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: I increased the 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 in my SMTP settings.

9️⃣ 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗦𝗟/𝗧𝗟𝗦 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: The error "𝗦𝘆𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘅 𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱" appeared.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: I made sure 𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗦𝘀𝗹 = 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 for secure email sending.

🔟 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴? I debugged and logged errors to find the exact problem.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: I wrapped my SMTP code in a 𝘁𝗿𝘆-𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 to log detailed errors.
