This is a submission for the WeCoded Challenge: Echoes of Experience
My tech journey started in year 2020
, the year when the pandemic hit us hard. It was the year I started my college, being newbie in coding world. I didn't know a single bit of coding and programming language where languages of different galaxies to me. Everything seemed so surreal but little by little, I started grabbing the knowledge.
My first language was Java, I still remember when I got my first semester result and I show my grade in this particular subject, I was shocked it was 'C' grade. I was totally devastated but I didn't stop there. The main turning point was me going to college, when my met different type of people who were really excelling in the different fields of tech. The discussion I had with them, opened plethora of tech fields to me. I was like a kid thrown to wonderland, where everything seemed so amazing and challenging.
For the first time, I came to know about competitive programming. I started coding in the coding platforms. Everyday challenges made me so much good in coding, the streak maintenance was must for me. These all made me consistent and my hunger to learn and go depth in the tech world has increased. I started learning DSA, Web Development, Data Science, Cybersecurity, etc.
The craze was so much into my veins, I started creating projects and posts. I even created an Instagram account specifically for to get the tech knowledge and trends. Then, I heard about a new tool(to me), LinkedIN where I started posting my coding solutions in daily coding challenges in Leetcode. I started storing my projects and codes in Github, another amazing tool for a developer or a programmer.
The journey was full of ups and lows but I didn't stop, that's what matters. I know, I have to go a long way and learn many things. Sometimes, I look at my past, a boy who doesn't know about a 't' in the tech world, now he's writing codes, projects and so many more. I am very much thankful to all the people and resources I got in this journey, who made me such a great learner.
I am grateful to the DEV Community to organise such an event, where one can deliver their experiences and their tech journey. My main motto of writing this, is to share my journey to the world, mainly to my juniors who are thinking whether to take this journey or not. I know it's going to be hard and in future also it'd get hard to me, but that doesn't mean we have to sit idle, do nothing. Challenge yourself and start your journey, I know we have AIs who are doing all the stuffs but who cares knowledge is knowledge. Nobody can take your knowledge, so start your career.
I would be happy to connect with new people, sharing ideas, clearing doubts, etc. Feel free to connect with me and do comment, so that I can answer your doubts.
Happy Learning, Happy Coding!!!
