Introduction
Cars.ng is a leading online platform for buying and selling cars in Nigeria. This exploratory testing aimed to evaluate the core user flows for functionality and usability.
Methodology
The testing involved navigating through core user flows, including the homepage, search functionality, and user registration, on both desktop and mobile versions using the Chrome browser.
Findings
During the testing, several issues were identified, including non-responsive elements, broken links, non-alignment of text and picture sizing for mobile users, unavailable links to seller's contact details (Call and WhatsApp), and an inability to compare cars to select the best, etc.
Recommendations
Introduce a guided tour for new users to familiarize them with the platform and fix the bug with the Google sign-on. This will ensure only registered users attempt signing onto the platform and unregistered users go to the register button.
To enhance the user experience, it is recommended to implement an auto-suggestion feature in the search bar and ensure there is a compare button for the best selection of cars.
Include text resizing options and high-contrast modes to improve usability for all users, both on desktop and mobile
Ensure all elements are functional and accessible on mobile devices for a better user experience.
Optimize loading times for all pages to enhance overall site performance.
