In your SplFixedArray example, you should add the elements to the fixed array after outputting the memory usage rather than before for a fair comparison. As is, the first memory reading is both the regular array and the SplFixedArray combined.
Frankly it might be worth breaking the test into two separate scripts, one Spl and one standard to get a totally fair comparison without GC considerations
