As I'm new to dev.to This is my first post.
My name is Jānis and I'm from Latvia. I have Explored studied IT since I was 13 years old as at first it was my passion but then it grew as a hobby and after that, it became my career, I started as a System Administrator and grew my way to DevOps after growing into DevOps I started to go forward to become a DevSecOps as I adore automation and how the systems can be automated, I also like to explore and understand the unknown. As a system administrator, DevOps and DevSecOps you work with a lot of systems and challenges like security threats and hacker attacks, so in parallel since the age of 15 I also started to explore the CyberSecurity field so all my career paths in parallel I have been exploring and learning CyberSecurity and slowly growing into that field also, so I can say, that I'm not a strange there also. But in 2023 I started to learn Team Management, so I think my feature will maybe lend there, but who knows as nothing is predictable each day we learn something new, and each day something changes. I believe that Communication and Learning are key also identifying your mistakes and not giving up on difficulties, but facing them and trying until you succeed. My IT career has taught me that you should not give up and try until you succeed or you get the system, or solution working as you like it with quality and sustainability.
Success doesn't teach us, but the failure gives us a lesson. If we succeed well it is done, but nothing is learned if we fail we evaluate our mistakes and learn from them so that in the future we become much better and knowledgeable and don't fail.
I like puzzles and IT for me is like a large puzzle, that I like to solve.
Currently, I'm working in a Bank, and additionally each day I learn something new in Team management and IT. As I love to learn and explore, also I'm exploring new things about what I write in my blog https://www.valters.eu/#blog and since 2023-09 I started to learn and create videos for my YouTube channel, So please don't be a stranger read, follow, like, share for cool new tech things:
