Today's episode of BaseCS explores hexadecimals!
In this episode, we dive into the base 16 number system, and learn how to count with 16 different digits. We learn how to represent one number in three different number systems—base 2, base 10, and base 16—and see how they compare to one another. We then explore color theory, and learn how hexadecimals are closely tied to hex color codes and the RGB color model. Finally, we'll bring it all together by looking at how CSS hex codes and the rgb()
function allow us to represent colors while using hexadecimals under the hood!
