Day 1094 : February

liner notes:

  • Saturday : I thought it was going to be a normal online only show so I had a couple of stops before heading to the station. It wasn't until that I realized that the people that do the basketball broadcast that I looked in my email and today was not on the list of dates of broadcasts. So yeah, did the show on air. Had a great time. Some one actually called during the break and said they really like the show. That was pretty cool. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com

  • Sunday : Did my study sessions. I was pretty productive. I redesigned a holder for the lights I bought for the shed and printed it out. It actually came out really good and fit the light. It was late and I wasn't able to try it out in the shed. Finished the night working on the client dashboard for my business.

  • Professional : Pretty good day. Had a meeting with my manager and spoke about the stuff I'll be working on this week. I'll be able to put in some work on a project I've been looking to finish up and have people try it out. Responded to some community questions. Did some research.

  • Personal : I was able to put up the 3D model light holder in the shed and it worked. Nice! Next was to design cable holders that I can use to guide the wire along the beams to where I'll be plugging it in for power. Took a couple of iterations, but I got it to work. I loaded all the models onto one plate and started printing it. Got like 20 minutes left out of about 3 hours print time. I'm using a "Wood" texture filament that matches the color of the wood in the shed. Kind of amazing what you can create with 3D printing. This light holder use case is so random, I don't think I would be able to find a solution, especially for the price of these prints without paying someone for a custom job.

How is it February already?! Making some pretty good progress on my business. Getting the workshop together and filling it out with equipment. Got some samples out there and some people interested. Just need to finish up this client dashboard so people can order stuff. Looking to have most of everything (power, WiFi, printers and other machines) done by next week. Still got some stuff on the way and I need to build the enclosure for the printers. Just got to keep moving forward. I think the 3D print of the light holder is almost done. Going to check that out, put it together and start another print. I'll also go through tracks for the radio show and work on the client dashboard. I'm working on the admin functionalities right now like adding clients, products, viewing orders and creating invoices from orders.

Have a great night!

peace piece
